Jared Phelps (Kirby Heyborne) is a Mormon missionary who is returning home from his Latter-day Saint full-time mission. He comes back with the hope that everything will be better. It turns out to be completely opposite. His boss had promised to keep his job open but Jared loses his job. He fails to get through BYU. While he has a loving family, it is large and he realizes that his family had forgotten about his return. His girlfriend had decided to not wait for two years and has found someone else. His friend has changed. The events, which come after that, test his faith in God.
